2019 is looking like an awesome year for GIBC! 

Many renovations are in progress/coming up! We have started the elevators and are choosing colors for the exterior of the building!

Hello Guests & Owners!

Exciting things are happening at the Georgian Inn! We are making many changes to improve your Home away from Home!

  1. We now have UNLIMITED BONUS WEEKS in the months of November and December! The cost is still $665 for owners and $715 for guests of owners. (Normally bonus weeks are limited to one per unit owned.)
  2. The Yearly AUCTION is now LIVE!! Click the “LIVE AUCTION” link located at the top of the website. Place your bids in an attempt to obtain another unit! The auction is open to EVERYONE, not just current owners. TELL YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS!
  3. This year, GIBC is opening our doors to be a safe place for Trick or Treating! Wednesday Oct. 31st from 4-6 pm, our in-house guests and GIBC staff will help in passing out candy for any trick-or-treaters! Games & Snacks will be provided. Come join us!

August 27, 2018

We are proud to announce that Nicole Hayes, Front desk attendant has now been promoted to Front Desk Manager. Nicole joined the resort in 2017, and has been a great addition to the front desk. Nicoles, hard work and commitment to the front desk and its employees has been tremendous. Nicole, is working hard to ensure all employees at the front desk are working together and that all employees are trained fully to handle any tasks that owners may need. Nicole, has been an asset to this company and we are proud to have Nicole, join the management team here at the Georgian Inn Beach Club.

August 20, 2018

We would like to inform all owners of the new bonus week change. We are now offering unlimited bonus weeks for the months of November and December. All owners can purchase as many weeks as they would like at the standard bonus week rate for theese two months. All rules still apply, weeks must be purchased 30days in advance and rate stays the same. This allows all families that like to partake in family reunions or just want to bring someone else on vacation with out taking space in your own room. For additional information please call the front desk.

We are also proud to inform all owners that we will be starting the renovation of the elevators soon. This was just approved at the last Board Meeting this past Saturday the 18th. We look forward to this new improvement as we keep moving ahead in our updates to our building. 

August 16,2018

Activities at the Georgian Inn Beach Club starting week 34 will have a schedule change. Activities hours of operation will be as followed, Monday 1pm - 9pm. Tuesday through Thursday will operate from 9am - 5pm. We hope you enjoy all activities we have to offer and enjoy your stay. Amy (Activities director) offers many fitness activities that we did not offer in the past. Activities from bike rides to beach bike rides. Amy still has many activities that we offered in the past. Please enjoy all the activities we ave to offer for all ages.

We are proud to inform all Owners this week, that we have completed the remodeling of our landscapes. All of our flower beds have been revamped with beautiful exotic plants, with bright vivrant colors. This has been a major improvement to our building as we beautify our curb apeal. We look forward to all owners enjoying these new upgrades when they come to visit. 

We will be back to adding updates once a week. Eric was working on the beach during the month of July, hiring for the beach department. We have now hired a new beach attendant by the name of Jimmy. Chad and Jimmy will assist in all of your beach visitation needs. Now that the beach is staffed, Eric will be back to updating the website once a week. This will be the best comunication with all of our owners as to what is going on in the resort. 


 

June 18, 2018

We are pleased to inform all owners that the outdoor kitchen is back in operation. We have two new grills and sideburners. We have also purchased a new radio for the pool deck, so on your next visit you will be able to be poolside just relaxing or grilling while listening to the local radio stations. We hope to see all owners, enjoying everything we have to offer at your home away from home.

If any owners or owners family were looking or have a hold on a unit for puchase, please contact Samantha regarding any of your sales needs. Samantha is working diligently on catching up all old unit holds and or any past sales work. Samantha took over sales in early May, and is working hard to meet all your sales needs. Please call the resort and ask for Samantha at ext. 1107.

We have now fully staffed the beach department. We have two new employees that have joined the GIBC team, Scott and Mason. Chad is still working the beach department. We have also added some new additions to the beach department for your enjoyment. We have recently purchased new paddle boards, surfboards, and clamshell beach cabanas. We listened to your requests and have now implemented them. Surf lessons are also now available upon request. We no longer have tents due to the umpredictability of strong winds at any time in Florida as many of you know. In replacement of tents, we now carry the clamshell cabans. With these Cabans, you can be out of the wind, still get shade, and you can rent them with or with out chaise lounge chairs. We are constantly making improvements for your enjoyment and hope you come and enjoy the beach and all we have to offer.

Update: We would like to inform all owners, that we have hired a new activity director. We are proud to welcome Amy Pope, to the Georgian Inn Beach Club. Amy is looking forward to bringing her experience in health and wellness, along with her experience in fitness to the activity program. Amy is looking forward to ensure that owners and guests have a fun filled vacation. Activities will be offered Monday through Friday. Activities will vary from Excercise and Yoga to social events, playing cards, beach games and sunset events. There will be a wide range of activities to fit all age levels.


 

April 20, 2018

Please be advised prior to arival on week 17, that the Georgian Inn will be conducting a test of our back flow preventer. This test will be performed on May 4, 2018 with a possible start time of 8am. Please be advised that the water will be off to building for the duration of this test, so please plan your day accordingly.

To address the absents or lack of, web-based updates, from November 21, 2017 - March 30, 2018.

We, the Georgian Inn Beach Club, for the protection of our owners, their personal log-in data, past years budgets, audited financial statements, meeting minutes, any other documents available on the owners site. We asked 3W Studios to add an SSL security layer to the website to ensure the security. Unfortunately, this came with an unforeseen consequence. That later would prove to be a huge problem at first.

Once the SSL layer was implemented. Sergio tried updating a few documents on the owners portal. Sergio then learned, he was unable to access (WebYep) which is the content management system put in place by our web designer to allow Sergio the ability to upload, change, and remove the constantly changing information. With many, not so successful attempts to correct the issue. Sergio was finally able to get all three parties involved, and their schedules to line up. Sergio hosted a telephone conference call between our web designer Anilda, and a representative from 3W Studios they collectively were able to resolve the issue.

We now have the ability to add, update, change, and remove any documents from the website and also the added security to ensure our website is safe and secure to use.

Starting April 2 - April 9, 2018 the pool will be closed

The pool area will be closed for concrete restoration. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. Thankfully, one of our neighboring properties, The Makai, has been kind enough to allow us to use their pool while ours is closed. Should you decide to use their facilities. Please be respectful of their grounds and pool rules.

Also, don't forget about our wonderful beach department! Located down on the sand daily from 8am to 5pm. Make sure you check out and reserve one of our wonderful Hourly, Daily, Weekly amenities packages, so you can reserve your spot under the sun!

We are hosting a potluck for Thanksgiving on Thursday November 23rd at 3pm!

We will be serving turkey, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing and pumpkin pie. You can sign up at the front desk. There no cost for the dinner however we ask that you kindly bring a side dish of any kind to share including a dessert.

Also, thank you to all the owners who supported the Annual Owners Meeting either by proxy or by showing up in person. It was a nice turn out and the weather was beautiful. There were several first time owners in the audience which was refreshing. We always like to welcome new owners. Our oldest owner represented was 96 years old. We look forward to greeting him each year!

Georgian Inn Beach Club will be opening it's doors from Hurricane Irma on Saturday, October 21, 2017 (Week 42).

Check in is still at 4:00 pm. Please adhere to this timing.

Front Desk staff is working from 9 - 5 Monday through Friday until opening. Feel free to call if you have any questions.

It appears as though we have an opening date; October 21, 2017. (Week 42)

The staff has been meeting with updates of progress each morning. Plans of continuing progress to make the goal is discussed each day. As of today,

• 802 is ready to go but not 801
• Maintenance has completed their work on 7 down through 4
• Housekeeping is on 6
• Laundry is making the beds on the 7th floor
• We are working on the wood in the outdoor grill area.  The sleeve has been purchased for the GC to renovate the grills, we are waiting on him at this point
• Pool Deck paver project has been completed from Hurricane Matthew
• Accounting is turning in the requested financial reports into the insurance company
• We have an activities director and she is actively working on putting together her schedule
• Our SeaCabins are still under construction
• We will be going live on the web for our rentals November 1st

October 3, 2017

To date I have walked every part of the building with three different aspects of the insurance company. The engineer being the most independent.  As you are aware we hired ServPro to bring in machinery to dry out the units from the water intrusion previously reported. Thier method of drying proved to be impressive and much faster than the previous company from Hurrican Matthew. After the initial 49 units found by the insurance adjuster there were 28 additional units found by ServPro with water damage that needed to be dried out. As of October 4, 2017 they will be removing all of thier equipment from the building.

I have received thier reports and made my own assessments of walls that will need to be removed and replaced.  Fortunately we will not have to stay closed for these few units.  However, 77 units have holes drilled in the walls and these have to be fixed before we can open. I know nobody is a fan of Florida bugs and in big buildings they are hard to eliminate completely. If I leave the openings, we will surely have problems. I know none of you would like these issues so please bear with us while we do the right thing and close them up. Also, the baseboards have to be replaced, night stands have to be reinstalled, some of the murphy beds are too damaged to reuse as well as more of the dressers. All of these will have to be removed from the property before opening. After all of this is done, we must clean!! We have been cleaning all along but as you are aware with construction it is an ongoing process. AND...the resort needs to be set up again. All of your belongings are inside for safekeeping.

We have had daily staff meetings to be sure we are making substantial progress. Though we have quite a few new people on our staff, they are so nice and friendly and willing to serve you in whatever way it takes to make sure you have a wonderful vacation. We are all on the same page and eagerly await the day you can return to your resort. We miss you very much. This is just not the same without you!! Hoping and wishing to open the doors for you soon!!

Good Saturday morning to you! I trust you all are enjoying your weekend.

Though we are closed currently on the weekends, we are here today doing the moisture readings in the units. This will allow us to accurately detect which walls must be removed and new insulation and drywall installed. Since we are not waiting to do these tests Monday through Friday this will allow us to get a faster start on the remediation process.

Nobody can accuse us of being slow to repair after a hurricane.

We were here the day after getting the damage on video.

Tuesday we were extracting the water from the units and scrapping the soffits.

Wednesday we had the roofing contractor on the roof giving us the necessary patches and temporary dry in.

We've pressure cleaned the walkways and stairwells, cleaned all the debris from the property, washed every unit entry door, washed the laundry, cleaned every a/c unit, we are now getting guest directories back in order and have met with two separate groups from the insurance agency and am probing units today.

The front desk is calling every owner with an upcoming reservation to let them know the status of the being closed.

We have also set up a few new practices that may benefit the membership on Saturdays check-in. We are always trying to improve our procedures to make your vacation the best it can possibly be.

I should have a report by the end of business today and will let everyone know the number of units that will need construction.

After inspection by our insurance company on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, they located 52 areas in the building that require mitigation. Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to open on Saturday, September 30, 2017, as we hoped. Once we receive further detailed instruction we will be able to move forward with repairs. I will keep everyone posted as new information is provided.


 

September 12, 2017

The Georgian Inn Beach Club has sustained damages from Hurricane Irma.  The extent is to be determined. The visible damages are the roof, elevator cap, window soffits, and water intrusion. The building has yet to be inspected by professionals. The roofing company has been contacted.  We will know more on the buildings status and exactly how much damage was done once the inspections are complete. We will be closed until further notice. We will be providing information as we receive updates. The staff will be on property 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday and closed on the weekends. There is an active voice recording if you call and would like to leave a message, your call will be returned in the next business day. Thanks to everyone for all the thoughts and prayers sent our way.  We ask for patience and understanding during this time as we are working diligently to get the Georgian Inn Back up and running.
